Biggest Bro-Science Myth Ever!
Listen guys, if you're tired of hearing about muscle turning into fat like Jesus turned water into wine just point these bro-science Guru's to this page. It couldn't be any clearer in less words.
Your body can not convert fat into muscle. You build muscle by working out of course. You lose body fat from your body burning it as a fuel source after carbohydrate stores are used. Doing low impact cardio in a fat loss heart rate zone will actually not put too much muscle on you but it will lead to your body burning more fat.
Its pretty much that simple. Fat will never "turn into" muscle, it simply gets used as a source of energy secondly to carbohydrates.
Please remember the scale is probably the worst indicator of overall health gains, its just the easiest. Measuring a few parts of your body once a week and if you can measure your body fat is usually a better way. Those 2 results plus the scale are a much much better indicator of gains then just a number on a scale.
Personally I use the mirror to measure my gains and I think 99% of guys would do the same.
